We are pleased to announce that we had a total 330 members of our U3A as at end of 2024, 75 of whom are new members. That total is the most members we have had since our current membership database started in 2014. It’s always wonderful to see new faces and welcome people who are interested in learning, growing and connecting as we embark on our retirement years.
The participation and contributions of all our members is what helps keep our U3A thriving. However, we can always aim to reach more people in the community who might benefit from membership.
That’s why I’m asking ALL our members to think about who you know – friends, neighbours, fellow retirees – who may not yet know about us but would enjoy what U3A has to offer. Please tell them about us and encourage them to come to our next meeting or try out an interest group.
Word of mouth is the best way for us to find new members. With your help, we can continue to grow and provide an even wider range of engaging activities for older adults in our area to stay active and connected.
Let’s give a warm U3A welcome to new members when you see them at class.
